About 15 of us gathered at the lovely warm Malt Kiln, Bardsea 3 miles from Ulverston. We worked down on the shoreline of Morecambe Bay, up at the bronze age stone circle on Birkrigg Common, indoors with a salt labyrinth, singing and making ceremony. We had a diverse group of participants across the generations; Musicians, poet, theatre writer, actor and director, dramaturg, Celebrants and Funeral Officiants, singers and a homeopath. They came from Canada, Spain, Scotland, Portugal and all over the UK. We worked with the elements, wind, water, fire and earth. We were fed nourishing home cooked meals from Simon Hanson in the kitchen every day.
" I had a very special time at the course, thanks a lot for all you gave, it was a beautiful space for sharing and learning and I bring many gifts from it with me. I liked the structure, the exercises, the time we spent outside and the time we spent indoors. It was very good for me to have space to share stories, thoughts and music, I felt held, heard and appreciated. I also loved getting to know others through their stories, poetry etc, and hear you and Sue's stories was amazing and very enriching too. Thanks for the resources, all the books and poetry you brought. Last weekend is still very present in me and I feel great gratitude!" Pilar Awe Lopez
